Who is Sarah Stevenson
Britain’s most successful Taekwondo athlete of all time, our first ever World Champion and our first and only Olympic Medallist.
Her Results include:
3 x World Champion
4 x European Champion
Olympic Medallist 2008
3 x Olympian
Most importantly is that none of my results have come easy, this is the message that I would like to share with you and hopefully inspire you with. My family and I have struggled and made so many sacrifices to reach the very highest level of my sport and they have all been worthwhile. The final thing I would like to say is that I know what it is like to be a young, aspiring athlete and can appreciate how difficult this can be for both parents and athletes, I hope to share my experiences with you and hope that this will help in some way.
The Aim
The aim of this unique development programme is to work alongside club coaches and target young,
aspiring Taekwondo athletes between the ages of 11 - 19 (flexible) that are 4th Kup and above who have goals and future ambitions. I feel this is an age where there are a lot of distractions in life and I want to help with that ‘drop out’ factor in my sport by offering them something that I never had – someone qualified, willing and passionate about sharing their experiences, good and bad to assist and accelerate their learning curve to achieve their goals.
The workshops will aim to enhance the young athlete’s all round professional and pro-active approach to becoming an elite sports person. I am going to be inviting special guests on my Inspires workshop who are experts in their respective fields.
