• Two Sarah Stevenson Inspires athletes represent England at the 5th Commonwealth Championships in India

Ryan Uren (Chi Taekwondo) and Hannah Mayes (Scorpion Taekwondo) have recently represented England at the 5th Commonwealth Taekwondo Championships in Chennai, India.

Team coaches Richard Allen (Allen Taekwondo Academy) and Peter Adamsons (Scorpion Taekwondo) took a team of 18 athletes to India via Dubai and returned with a very respectable haul including 3 Gold, 4 Silver and 5 Bronze medals.

Ryan was unlucky to lose out to James Tully of Scotland after leading for much of the match, and Hannah collected a Bronze medal after losing on Golden Point to India in the semi-finals.

Ryan and Hannah were both in agreement that the trip had been an important stepping stone in their respective careers and that it had also been an excellent opportunity to meet new friends whilst experiencing different cultures and what were some of the best curries they have ever tasted!

Welcome to the blog.

Hello everyone,

Just a quick message to tell you about the new blog and how it's going to work.

Because you all live so far away from each other and we don't always get the opportunity to chat, I thought it would be a great idea to have a blog so that you could keep me updated with your progress and tell the rest of the taekwondo community what you've been up to.

If your news is chosen to go onto the blog you will then be able to share it with all of your friends and family by using the Facebook or Twitter buttons.

If you have an update for me, please use the form on the contact us page.

I look forward to hearing from you all.

Sarah x
